Origin is the developer tooling, systems, and capability stack used to build, operate, and evolve Point Zero software.

Origin consolidates a growing set of scripts, CLIs, platforms, knowledge systems, agent infrastructure, diagnostics, and maintenance tools under one coherent working environment.

Scope

What belongs in Origin

  • Developer-facing applications and control surfaces.
  • Knowledge and context infrastructure.
  • Diagnostics, validation, testing, and quality systems.
  • Small utilities and maintenance tools.
  • Shared capabilities for decomposition, execution, coordination, context, observability, validation, cleanup, and workflow automation.
  • Incubating internal ideas that have not yet earned a separate product identity.

Boundaries

What Origin is not

  • It is not a requirement that every project move into one monorepo.
  • It is not a mandate to rename mature systems or flatten their individual identities.
  • It is not a single application.
  • It is not limited to “tools” in the narrow sense; substantial systems and reusable capabilities can live under the same umbrella.

Growth

Promotion ladder

Origin should make it cheaper to have ideas by providing a default place for them to land. A new capability should graduate only when its scope, audience, or maintenance model requires it.
